RULES & REGULATIONS

IN F.A. / F.Sc.

 

1. Admission dates are announced through newspapers/college notice board.

2. 60% marks in Mathematics and Statistics are required for students seeking admission in F.A General Science.

3. Entrance test is compulsory for getting admission in Fine Arts and English Literature.

4. Students should enter correct home address and phone number on their admission form so that there is no hindrance in timely communication.

5. If the student's address changes during the course of study, it is mandatory to inform the admission in-charge.

6. Admission in Arts on Science form and admission in Science on Arts form will not be accepted. Submit separate forms for each group to avoid disappointment.

7. For admission to specified seats, submit separate forms for each eligibility and in this regard, the candidate must submit the attested photocopies of required documents as proof of eligibility along with the form.

8. The interview schedule is announced at the time of admission announcement and the candidates will not be notified separately, refer to college notice board in this regard.

9. Note down all the schedule, dates, days, time and necessary instructions carefully otherwise the institution will not be responsible.

10. Interview for any privilege will be conducted on the schedule date in case of absence no second chance will be given.

11. The candidate must submit the following attested documents along with the admission form: 

   i) Provisional certificate showing date of birth and passing status of board exams. 

   ii) Character Certificate 

   iii) Attested board certificate/result card copy 

   iv) Copy of ID card of father/guardian 

   v) Stamp paper (to be submitted only in case of admission) 

   vi) Copy of student's B form 

   vii) 4 Pictures

12. Migration from any other city is done as per the policy laid down by the Government of the Punjab. 

    i) Students are not allowed to apply for migration from any local college. 

    ii) Migration from any other city college can be done only if:

a) The marks of the students should be as per the merit of the college. 

b) The group/set of subjects should be the same as taught in the college. 

c) Admission would be subject to vacant seat in the college. 

iii) If the student's father has transferred, the transfer certificate must be also attached with the migration certificate. 

13. Section will be allotted after admission in which no change will be allowed. 

14. The Principal shall be authorized to cancel the admission of the student at any time during the academic year, if the documents are proved unauthentic. 

15. According to the policy laid down by the Government of the Punjab, 75% attendance of the student is mandatory in every academic year. Otherwise, the student's board entrance examination will be denied. 

 

RESERVED SEATS 

1. In this regard, the candidate has to submit the required certificate (attested copy) along with the admission form to claim eligibility. 

2% seats are reserved on the basis of disability. Candidates for admission under quota of disabled students are required to attach the certificate attested by MS from Punjab Government approved hospital along with the application form and the original certificate along with them at the time of interview. 

3. 2% seats are reserved for minority candidates. 

4. There is no age limit for disabled students. 

 

Note: Disability means permanent physical disability.  

 

HOW TO APPLY 

1. Only the admission form attached with the college prospectus will be acceptable. 

2. All the columns of the admission form should be filled correctly. 

3. Candidate must submit following attested documents along with admission form. 

i) Matric Result Card 3 Copies 

ii) Character Certificate 1 Copy 

iii) Candidate's recent photographs (with white background) 4 Photos 

iv) Attested copy of National Identity Card of father/guardian 2 Copies 

v) B Form 1 Copy 

vi) Stamp Paper for 75% attendance (at the time of admission) 

vii) In case of matriculation from other board, one copy of NOC of the concerned board required.

viii) It is necessary for selected students to submit their 4 white background photographs at the time of obtaining the roll number. 

ix) Health performa should be attested by health professionals. 

x) Incomplete forms will not be accepted. 

xi) After the admission process is completed, the list of successful candidate will be displayed on college notice board. 

xii) Failing to pay college dues on time will result in cancellation of admission. 

xiii) Admission forms received by the college after the due date will not be accepted. 

xiv) Online admission will be permissible at any branch of Punjab Bank after payment of Rs. 25/- 

xv) The Admission form must be filled completely by the student and submitted to the concerned authorized officer. 

xvi) It is necessary to submit the online form as well as the form obtained from the college. 

 

Note: A student shall submit separate forms for admission to more than one department. The form of one department will not be usable for other department. Admission rules and regulations will be strictly followed

 

EXAMINATIONS 

1. Examinations are conducted thrice a year in the college. 

2. The results of mid-term, pre-board and end-term examinations are displayed on the college notice board. 

3. Every student must secure 40% marks in each subject to pass. 

4. For students studying practical subjects, it is necessary to pass both theory (written) and practical exams. 

5. Failure in either written or practical examination will be considered as a fail in the subject. 

 

MONTHLY TEST 

Monthly tests are required for every students and at least three tests must be passed to send an internal grade. 

1. In case of unsatisfactory results in the college examination and monthly tests, admission to the board will not be sent and no medical certificate or other such reasons will be accepted. 

2. A student with less than 75% attendance will be denied admission. She will not be able to take the board exam from the college (as a regular candidate) 

3. A fine of rupees 200/- per subject will be charged in the case of absence from college examination. 

4. A fine of rupees 50/- per subject will be charged in the case of absence from monthly tests. 

5. A sum of rupees 200/- per subject will be charged for rechecking of college examination papers. 

6. Teachers and parents meetings are held regularly so that parents can keep track of the academic performance of the students. 

 

RE-ADMISSION RULES  

The student's name shall be struck off 

1. In case of non-payment of college dues and low attendance in college exams. 

2. If the student is absent for six (6) consecutive days without notice. 

3. A student can apply for re-admission within 15 days of disenrollment from the college, re-entry shall be subject to penalty. 

4. Re-admission shall be subject to the approval of the Principal, the opinion of the Admission Committee and the policy laid down by the Board/University. 

5. Re-admission will be given only once. 

 

ATTENDANCE & LEAVE 

It is important for students to take classes regularly. 

1. Only the student with more than 75% attendance will be allowed to appear in the board examination by the college. 

2. A student who is absent for six consecutive days without application will have to re-admit to the college. 

3. If the college is closed for three or more than three days due to unavoidable reasons and the student has been absent for two consecutive days, the student will pay a fine of Rs. 50/- 

4. The signature of father/mother/guardian is required on the leave application of the students. 

5. Date, name of the student, roll number and section along with class and subject must be written on leave application otherwise the application will not be considered. 

6. Leave application in case of emergency should be approved immediately after joining the college. 

7. A medical certificate should be issued by a government hospital for the sick leave of more than one week. 

8. Penalty for skipping one period in a day will be charged Rs. 50/- per period. 

 

CODE OF CONDUCT

1. It is important for all students to behave in a polite and courteous manner inside and outside the college. 

2. It is necessary for the students to respect the college teachers and follow their instructions. They should also behave politely with other staff otherwise severe action will be taken against student. 

3. College timings need to be strictly followed by all students otherwise entrance through the gate will not be allowed. 

4. Writing on the walls of the college is prohibited, in case of violation, a heavy fine will have to be imposed. 

5. Students are not allowed to wear jewelry or makeup in college. 

6. Students are not allowed to bring and use mobile phones in the college. In case of violation, there will be a fine of Rs. 1000/- and the mobile will be confiscated. However, in case of any emergency, college phone can be used. 

7. College ID card must be brought along and worn everyday. 

8. It is mandatory for science students to wear white overall during practical. 

9. Taking care of library books is the moral responsibility of students. 

10. Both library card and ID card will be given to the student at the time of admission which must be shown by them at the college gate. 

11. The College Council is authorized to take strict disciplinary action and to charge fine for violating the college rules, misbehavior and damaging college property. 

12. Students can not go out of the college or meet anyone without the permission of the duty officer and the Principal during the fixed hours of the institution. 

13. Students must read the notice board daily so that they are fully aware of the instructions given by the administration. 

14. Students are not allowed to wear abaya in the college premises. All students will hang their abaya in the abaya room in the college. 

15. Students are allowed to wear white scarf in winter and summer. Apart from white, wearing a scarf of any other color will not be allowed. In case of violation of any rule, a fine of Rs. 200/- to Rs. 1000/- will be imposed. 

 

Note: All students must follow all the above rules. These rules and regulations will be applicable to the self-supporting students also.  

 

DROPPING OUT OF COLLEGE

1. If a student wants to leave the college, she has to submit a written application to the Principal which must be signed by the father/guardian. All dues must be paid before leaving the college. 

2. Receipt must be presented on return of books borrowed from the library, otherwise the college leaving certificate will not be issued. 

 

IDENTITY CARD

1. Identity cards are issued to regular student of the college after 15 days of admission. 

2. Students are required to wear these cards during college hours. 

3. If a student does not produce identity card on the demand of the college administration, she will be fined and refusal to show identity card is liable to disciplinary action by the college administration.  

4. In case of loss of card, a duplicate will be issued on payment of prescribed fee. 

5. All students must submit passport size photo for the identity card at the time of issuance of class roll number. 

 

FEE DISCOUNT  

After admission, the total fee return will be offered to the students having more then 85% marks in Board Exam, ( Subject to availabilty of funds). 

The 10% of the total enrolled students can get 50% tuition fee discount: 

i) For an orphan girl student, full tuition fee will be waived on submission of copy of father's death certificate. 

ii) Only deserving students can benefit from fee concession. 

iii) Fee concession will be withdrawn in case of misconduct, irregularity or unsatisfactory results. 

iv) All Scholarships (Board, University, Militry and Jobs) are awarded through the college. 

Candidates for fee concession must register in the admission form and submit the applications prior to their admission to the college along with the income certificate on the due dates. These applications must be signed by the father/guardian. Incomplete application will not be accepted. 

 

Note: The dues and fees may be reduced at any time as per the instructions issued by the competent authority (Government/ Lahore Board).
